HEROIC  BOTANICALS
FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY BY MICHAEL McNULTY
Michael McNulty is a native of Tucson, Arizona. The Sonoran Desert in which Tucson fortunately lies provides the vast majority of species represented in these pages.  He grew up in Bisbee, Arizona, where he edited the high school yearbook, the "Cuprite."  In service to the Cuprite (due to the lack of a photographer), he spent much of his senior year with a twin lens Rolleiflex, which first cemented his love of imaging.

The obvious themes reflected by Mr. McNulty's work are the form, scale, and hue of nature when viewed through the eyes of someone who is 2" tall.  Were we a Lilliputian species, this aspect of nature would dominate our scenery in every direction.  We are not, but these views are still here to be found in fabulous abundance for those with but a little patience.

Mr. McNulty's alternative reality is described here

about the artist
'This we know:...the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth.

Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.'
